Guest Posting & Exercise From a Vegan Perspective
In a recent post, where I wrote about Associated Content I responded to a comment from Talina. Talina has her own website where she frequently writes about motivation. I believe she’s one of my newer readers at Vegan Momma. I’m really enjoying spending time at her virtual home. It’s a nice place to stop by and she regularly shares tidbits from her daily life. I really enjoy that and she has been added to my RSS feed.
In my reply to her, I mentioned that I would be doing guest posts at another bloggers home. Their website is new to me, but I’m enjoying both of the virtual homes that I’ve visited.
What type of website is it? It’s a foodie website. No, it’s not a vegan cooking website. This cooking website is authored by a gentleman who approaches cooking the same way I do. How do I approach cooking? I don’t follow recipes neither does he. He’s not vegan or even vegetarian. If you’ve read my website for any length of time you know that I don’t have issues with people that aren’t.
I like what he serves up. His choices are very healthy and I believe for those of my readers who aren’t vegetarian you might get some ideas simply by reading his fantastic posts. Even if you are a vegetarian, you can get ideas and with a few simple additions make the meals vegetarian.
Adding other writers to my healthy recipe website has been something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I might have even mentioned it to a few of you, or maybe on here? My main focus will be whole foods recipes and I’ve been thinking about including nonvegan recipes. They won’t be submitted by me. I’m looking for contributions from others. The only criteria are that it has to be healthy. I don’t want junk food on my website. That would pollute my message.
Fitness
I’ve written about fitness before but recently, mainly inspired by Dragon Lady I’ve been seriously thinking about writing more posts on this issue. Fitness is a huge part of my life after all. Dragon Lady is another fabulous blogger that I met through MacBros. I’ve been a faithful reader, mainly via RSS feed, ever since. She’s been making excellent progress with her exercise and weight loss routine. I’m very happy for her. I like her writing, and often she has me laughing because of something she has written about.
I’ve been thinking about including my workout routines on here. As I mentioned I’ve done it before but they went nowhere fast. I didn’t stop exercising but I stopped writing about it on Vegan Momma. I definitely won’t be posting something daily, but maybe I’ll post a few of my exercises weekly along with a short summary of why the exercises are beneficial? What do you think? Fitness has been part of my life since I was a young child so talking and writing about it comes naturally. I love the feeling I have being healthy & fit. I know I don’t write about it much here on Vegan Momma perhaps I should change that?
I’m also thinking of writing it from a vegan perspective. I am a vegan after all, right? Many comments I’ve received in the gym have been interesting and shows that there are numerous people out there that still have misconceptions about veganism as it relates to fitness. I’m definitely not a weakling and I’m healthy. This made me think if I’m encountering that within the gym obviously there will be people online that have some of these same misconceptions. Maybe I should be doing more in addressing that issue?
Fitness Updates
I’m trying to make a point to get in the gym five days weekly. With my schedule, it’s going to be challenging. It’s a lot easier for me to work out at home. Which, I do religiously. I’ve been wanting to hook up with a training partner for quite some time working out at the gym will accomplish this who knows I might be able to squeeze a Figure competition in sometime soon. I would really love that. I’ve been somewhat bummed that I haven’t had a chance to pursue that as I would like.
