Ring Mandrel
I really enjoy the entire jewelry making process. I make simple to extremely elaborate wearable art. Eventually I’ll create a page, or perhaps a website, to showcase my work. I usually purchase my equipment online. I love the mandrel and have found that it comes in handy. It’s grooved and has the ring sizes clearly marked. It’s a definitely keeper.
Talent ~ Mentoring Update
Aren’t they talented? This past Tuesday I decided to have a craft day for my mentees. I brought in glass beads, amethyst, rose quartz, and a few brightly colored plastic beads for my girls. I told them our project was to create bracelet and earrings. During our discussion I encouraged them to think of something they were interested in and to take the steps needed to learn all about it.
Blinkx ~ I’m loving it!
While I was taking a break from work I discovered Blinkx. Its supposed to be the largest and most advanced video search engines on the market. Cool! I love videos. How’s it done? They use automatic spiders and they have partnered with over 200 leading content and media companies. Which means they are able to provide over 12 million hours of video. Simply Amazing!
I typed jewelry making in the search engine and look at the pages I came up with? I’m currently lookin at the video about jewelry making tools. It looks very similar to my setup. Seriously! I have a lot of tools/equipment.
She’s Crafty
This is what my daughter created earlier this evening. She put the beads on. I knotted after each bead. This is a very secure piece. I wish you could have seen the expression on my daughters face. She was bursting with pride! I thought glass and wood be nice but Aiyana choose glass and plastic.
