Posted on December 22nd, 2007 in Aromatherapy, Personal by Vegan Momma

If you’ve been reading my website for any length of time you know I’m a huge fan on natural healing. Aromatherapy (a way to heal our bodies by using essential oils) and herbs are the first things I reach for when it comes to taking care of my body.

Essential oils (highly concentrated plant essences) are also ingredients I use regularly within my cleaning products. Aromatherapy is part of my daily lifestyle. I enjoy aromatherapy so much I’ve done extensive studying on the topic and have received aromatherapy certifications.

In a recent post, I mentioned that I would be guest posting on a few websites. I’m honored that I have been given this opportunity. I will be guest posting at Face Natural. Similar to my website Healing Yourself Naturally Face Natural focuses on natural remedies when it comes to skin care. You’ve got to love that, right? Check out Face Natural and browse through the informative posts.

I have written about neem before on Vegan Momma, and Healing Yourself Naturally stop by and see what Face Natural has to say about the power of neem. Enjoy!

Alternative healing has always been part of my life. My grandmother used herbs, tinctures, homemade lotions throughout her life (she lived to 93) and she would use various herbs to make these holistic remedies.

My mother would use various herbs in herbal tinctures and soaps that she would make. It really shouldn’t surprise my family or close friends that the remedies that I reach for for daily use or to address a variety of ailments are holistic.

In my early twenties I was introduced to essential oils and it opened up another chapter for healing myself naturally. I haven’t looked back. I incorporate aromatherapy into my daily life it’s evident in the homemade soaps I prepare, to the bath & shower gels I’ve made, the diffusers that are scattered throughout my house, and you can also detect it in the perfumes and body sprays that I make.

I purchase my essential oils in bulk. I’m a business owner and I create and sell natural skin care products. I truly enjoy working with essential oils. The ingredients that I use in my product line are “as natural as possible” since I’m not there watching every single step that goes into the ingredients I make I’m not going to call it “all natural” however I avoid using chemicals that you will find in many of your regular products.
