How Often Do You Update Your Computer Equipment?
If you had asked me seven years ago, my answer would have been not often. I used them daily, but I didn’t really need them to do too much. I was working out of the home most of my technical work was done away from the home. However, when I started my own business and started working for myself on a part-time basis my demands, in what I required, from my computer equipment changed. A little over a year ago I bought a 17″ MacBook Pro and an Epson Stylus Photo R2400.
Although I’ve had the Epson for thirteen months I have already outgrown it. I’ve taken numerous photos with my Nikon D80 and occasionally I sell my prints. Printing my own photos is possible with the Epsun Stylus R2400 the pictures are professional and do as good a job as the professional digital printing services. Over the months, I’ve found the demand for larger prints have been increasing. Although I was going to wait to upgrade to another photo printer, I’ll be making that purchase very soon. Initially, I was going to sell the Epson I do have but I’m thinking I might keep it. Heck, I might need a backup.
My 17″ MacBook Pro will be getting upgraded towards the fall and I believe I’ll be passing this one on to my daughter. One of the great things about working for myself is they can be written off as a business expense at the end of the year.
