One Cool Gift & Freelance Writing Update
One of the gifts I distributed this year went over well. I thought it was simple, but my father liked it a lot! He had me test it shortly after I gave him this gift, a personalized domain name. I never thought something that simple would cause so much happiness. He likes it a lot.
Since I was in the buying mood, I bought another domain. I bought that simply for freelance writing. Checking out Chris Blogging, the freelance writer, and Theda K, another freelance writer. I recently discovered their websites and I’ve added them to my great list of links and RSS feed. Their content is excellent and I would recommend my readers stop by and see what they have to say.
Anyway after viewing their virtual homes I thought it might be a smart idea to have a website that focused solely on writing. I’m addicted to writing after all. It will be where I can market my work. When I think about it, I have done writing before the only difference was I did it in the corporate setting. It was mainly writing training manuals, web content, and daily, weekly, and monthly reports. At the time, I didn’t think of it as writing. I just thought of it as my job.
The past few weeks I’ve done very well with freelance writing but that is because I’ve worked hard at making it happen. The work didn’t just fall in my lap. My focus is connected to nutrition and fitness the jobs that I’m interested in are focused on that also. At Healing Yourself Naturally I’m currently writing a serious about constipation what was originally going to be one article is going to turn into something more initially I had planned on writing this article in the summer time.

Oh, a domain name for a gift was a great idea! So your dad is quite computer savvy like you, I take it?! Anyway, I’m looking forward to your articles about constipation. It’s not the nicest of subjects but that is a good reason to read it. Then I’ll know more and can hopefully learn how to deal with/prevent it.

Between my brother, sister-in-law, and I he receives a lot of photos via email what he doesn’t know is that is just the beginning. I shall make his website into a photo album he’ll be able to vie pictures of his grandchildren whenever he wants. I’m even going to add pictures of his mother onto the website. :-)
Regarding bowel health used to be talked about more and I know that is one reason our society has so many issues with constipation it’s just not talked about. That’s not a good thing many diseases our created by having an unhealthy bowels. You can even die from it. That could be avoided if only people would make better food choices.
When I worked out of the home a few of my coworkers got to the point where they were not uncomfortable talking about it, at least not around me. :-) I talked about it in normal terms and ways they can identify problems simply by looking at their bowels many saw improvements in their bowels and lifestyles when they changed their eating habits. I guess it made believers out of them. ;-)

Hi Opal - great gift idea. I bought my husband one last year, but he still hasn’t had time to do anything with it.

I’ve entertained the idea of purchasing my name as a domain, but haven’t yet. That’s a great gift - I made a one-page site as a gift for someone’s mom for Christmas. I don’t know her reaction, but I hope it was a good one because its a potentially decent paying gig. Regardless, it was a great idea that I had never thought of, though it seemed so obvious. That’s a great marketing idea that nobody has jumped on yet - you may be on to something…
