Manic Monday

New Order: Blue Monday

Yesterday began like my days. I hopped out of bed full of energy, Yes that drives some people nuts. Why are you bouncing out of bed in the morning? Well I wasn’t bouncing out of the bed when I was pregnant. Much to my annoyance I was all belly and that constantly got in the way. During pregnancy I weighed thirty pounds more than I do now. I topped the scales at 138 pounds. I shed 16 pounds during delivery and lost the remaining within a month.

Anyway my Monday was off with a bang I had orders to ship, a few articles to write in Scrivener, a fitness workout that I was trying to desperately tuck in somewhere, and oh yeah I had a few errands that would take me outside the home. Since I was already going to have to go out I decided that I could somehow squeeze in a quick exercise so I headed in the direction Bally’s.

The nightmare began after I left Bally’s you know how it is. You have a few errands to do outside the home. They should take a few hours tops not seven freaking hours. The positive thing is I don’t have to do that anymore. Another positive is I now have a weight training partner.

Question: How was your Monday?

How’s ten hours on the road sound? We left Knoxville with an estimated nine hours to go to get to Norfolk. We stopped several times for the restroom and coffee, once to eat, and once to walk around WalMart for a stretch and get some cash. So an extra hour isn’t bad. Then throw in missing the right exit three times - one time going 8 miles before we realized it, it’s not bad at all.

Best thing, though, my mom isn’t in as bad shape as it sounded on Saturday.

Hotel has a fitness center, which I don’t usually use when we’re traveling, but today I did!

Mondays are rarely good for me. Yesterday wasn’t horrible for me, though. ;-)

Oh, sorry your errands took you longer than you thought. That always stinks but at least they are over and done with now. What a relief. Mondays usually are good to get some things out of the way if nothing else! ;)

    Mike,
I believe you are the winner! :-) I’m glad to hear that your mom is doing better than you thought. Congrats on your workout! I bet that was a great feeling. Funny, when I have worked out in the gym hotels. I’ve felt like I was cheating.

    DragonLady,
Here’s to a not so horrible Monday!

    teeni,
Yeah yesterday was a doozie! I’m glad it is over however I did salvage it when I came home. I started working on a few articles. I need to expound on them later today but I’ve got the ideas in Scrivener.

    pearl,
Thanks! :-) In regarding exercise it’s all about finding something you enjoy. It might take some time but the benefits are well worth it. :-)
