One Heck Of A Nap….

Ferret, Indra sleeping

Notice the glazed vacant look in Indra, my albino ferrets eyes. He’s actually sleeping. I hope I don’t look like that when I sleep. I don’t take too many naps, but I did today. My day starts early I’m usually out of bed by 4:30/ This morning I was awake a little before 3:00. That’s perfect for me. Get so much accomplished when my daughter is asleep when she awakened at 6:30 this morning. I had the bulk of my projects completed.

The Breakfast of Champions

Spending time with your loved ones is so important so I had one of her favorite meals waiting for her when she awakened. What was it? A fruit bowl (strawberries, blueberries, chopped banana, and coconut flakes) and a nice frothy glass of mango/pineapple smoothie. She ate it up quickly.

Gym Workout

My workout went well today. The exercises I did focused on my legs, back, and abdominal muscles. I also did cardio workout. I worked on the cross trainer and leaned forward and stood on my tiptoes the entire time. I usually don’t hold on and practice “Stationary running” when I’m on the trainer; however, today I wanted to concentrate on my hamstrings and glutes. The incline was set at the normal 20 so I was running uphill the entire time.

The Great Outdoors: Workout At Home
My daughter loves the snow and so do I. After about an hour or so of working at home we bundled up and went outside. We had numerous snowball fights, we made snow angels and Aiyana played in the garden as I brushed aside the snow to pick some kale leaves. I had missed my green energy drink. this morning so I really needed those nutrients.

Simple Vegan Fair was on the menu today. Turnip Greens (picked from the garden so you know it’s organic) and garlic roasted mashed potatoes was on the menu. My daughter lapped ate it up very quickly. Then I did something I haven’t done in a long time. I actually took a nap. I wasn’t meaning to. I meant to stay in the room with Aiyana until she fell asleep; however, three hours later here I am awake. Thinking, wow, my body really needed the rest.

Hmm as I suspected. You’re completely incorrigible. Personally I think I’d book my spot where the ferret is, now that’s a guy who got his head screwed on the right way round.
    Cheers

    Maddy,
 You caught me. I get a good chuckle every time I look at that picture. Indra is one funny fert. I’m amazed at some of their sleeping positions. It sure looks uncomfortable. In this one it looks like he was having a good snooze. Then again he had just finished eating.

My goodness! What a face! Sometimes just reading all that you do makes me want to nap so I can certainly understand your body needing a rest. I’m glad it knew when it needed a little break. You could be fighting off some of the germs that are going around so it is important - plus you’ve been getting up earlier than your normal time. Anyhoo - you had good food today, good fun, and a nap! Sounds like the perfect day to me! :)

    kaylee,
I am also. I did awaken disoriented thinking it was late night.

    teeni,
No it’s not some type of germs mybody usually gives me a warning sign. This was a simple case of not eating the right things. That will shut me down quickly. A quick shot of the green smoothie and I was back in business. The past few weeks I’ve been awaking around 2:30 although I normally don’t awaken until 4:30. I have been getting a lot accomplished, lol.

    MacBros,
Uhm yeah I sort of have a feeling that you would. I still get dizzy thinking of that video you had posted where you were weaving around the neighborhood.

    chinnee,
Yes it was so much fun playing in the snow. Aiyana was knocked out and so was her mommy!

I love it when I have time to have an afternoon nap, I don’t really fall into a deep sleep but I do have lots of strange dreams! some of my best ideas come to me when I’m dozing outside of normal sleep time.
