Lake Marion, The Drought

This was all underwater in July now my daughter and I can walk on a beach. Amazing!

This past August I wrote how I would be recognizing my readers via their RSS Feed thanks to Andy Baily’s comment luv plug in anyone who leaves a comment on my website should have their last post featured. I’m still going to add my readers last four posts to my sidebar. This should have been out a while ago but it hasn’t materialized until now.

Thomas - Technical Blogger will be the first on my list. Thomas works for Microsoft. I virtually met Thomas in late spring of this year I forgot the name of his website which meant I could not go back. I could have kicked myself because I really liked his content. He made an appearance on my blog a few weeks later and I promptly added him to my blogroll.

His writing style is engaging and he always keeps me coming back for more. Recently, in an email, I told him that I actually print out some of his posts and read them during my down time in the sauna. It’s true. The lifeguard would not let anyone bring reading material into the sauna that was disappointing; however, there is a new lifeguard hopefully he will let us sauna folks bring in our literature.

I do the same with Brown Baron (reading his material while I’m in the sauna.) He keeps me informed on the latest in internet news. I met Brown Baron through Bush Mackel, you know the web development guy? I’m determined to beat Bush in an Xbox live match.

I’m thankful that I met these bloggers their content is mainly technology related. Their reviews are tight. I spend a lot of time reading their reviews. I respect & listen to what they have to say. This week I’ll be switching readers daily so Brown Baron is up tomorrow and Bush will be on Saturday. I’m not sure who I’ll torment on Sunday.

Starting next week each blogger will have a spot on my sidebar for one week. Eventually everyone that is on my blogroll (I have two of them) will be featured in the RSS Feed along with other fabulous people I meet along the way. Hopefully it will bring a little more traffic to my readers and I’ll be stumbling and Digging your post throughout your week in the spotlight. I guess that means I gotta Digg and Stumble you today Thomas. ;-)

My blog buddies provide solid content on their websites and I’m confident that others can benefit from what they write about so I don’t have to wonder…Should I really Digg or Stumble this?

I truly appreciate the readers I’ve met. I enjoy the interaction on my website and theirs. Thanks everyone!

Wow - thank you for the mention and the links. I appreciate that you actually print out my content to read in the sauna, I hope it doesn’t put you to sleep.

I think we initially ‘met’ on ProBlogger. I believe you and I started commenting on a post, and I liked what you said. That was our introduction.

I have found some great blogs through your site, you not only have great content on your site, but you link to blogs with high quality content - thanks for counting mine among those. I always follow your recommendations when I see a link to a new blog on your site.

Great idea, one that I’ve considered for a while. I think, though, that I keep considering it for a while longer. Too many irons in the fire as it is.

The bloggers you mentioned are all so well-deserving of a little “extra credit.” You are always so wonderful with putting out the good word to everyone about the great bloggers you meet. I think I met each of the ones you mentioned only through you and I’ve enjoyed each and every one. So you know I pay attention to your shout outs!

You know what, Opal? I was playing with my sidebar widgets and I had the EXACT idea! To feature a blogger for a week to increase their visibility among my readers

And they say, great minds think alike!

Now to get the trash talk starting, WOULD quote a line from Shonuff (Berry Gordy’s the Last Dragon) about designating times and designating places, but instead I’ll go with good ol’ Apollo Creed…

“I’ve retired more [men] than social security.”

We should really get it going over the holidays buddy! (#)
