Lake Marion, The Drought

Lake Marion, The Drought

This was all underwater in July now my daughter and I can walk on a beach. Amazing!

This past August I wrote how I would be recognizing my readers via their RSS Feed thanks to Andy Baily’s comment luv plug in anyone who leaves a comment on my website should have their last post featured. I’m still going to add my readers last four posts to my sidebar. This should have been out a while ago but it hasn’t materialized until now.

Thomas - Technical Blogger will be the first on my list. Thomas works for Microsoft. I virtually met Thomas in late spring of this year I forgot the name of his website which meant I could not go back. I could have kicked myself because I really liked his content. He made an appearance on my blog a few weeks later and I promptly added him to my blogroll.

His writing style is engaging and he always keeps me coming back for more. Recently, in an email, I told him that I actually print out some of his posts and read them during my down time in the sauna. It’s true. The lifeguard would not let anyone bring reading material into the sauna that was disappointing; however, there is a new lifeguard hopefully he will let us sauna folks bring in our literature.

I do the same with Brown Baron (reading his material while I’m in the sauna.) He keeps me informed on the latest in internet news. I met Brown Baron through Bush Mackel, you know the web development guy? I’m determined to beat Bush in an Xbox live match.

I’m thankful that I met these bloggers their content is mainly technology related. Their reviews are tight. I spend a lot of time reading their reviews. I respect & listen to what they have to say. This week I’ll be switching readers daily so Brown Baron is up tomorrow and Bush will be on Saturday. I’m not sure who I’ll torment on Sunday.

Starting next week each blogger will have a spot on my sidebar for one week. Eventually everyone that is on my blogroll (I have two of them) will be featured in the RSS Feed along with other fabulous people I meet along the way. Hopefully it will bring a little more traffic to my readers and I’ll be stumbling and Digging your post throughout your week in the spotlight. I guess that means I gotta Digg and Stumble you today Thomas. ;-)

My blog buddies provide solid content on their websites and I’m confident that others can benefit from what they write about so I don’t have to wonder…Should I really Digg or Stumble this?

I truly appreciate the readers I’ve met. I enjoy the interaction on my website and theirs. Thanks everyone!

Thanksgiving: Lake Marion - The Clouds I

Lake Marion, Clouds

Lake Marion, The Clouds

This is one of the many shots I took while I was in South Carolina this past week. The clouds were gorgeous. I shot in RAW and no editing was done on this photo. It was amazing the detail I saw when I gazed up in the clouds. I snapped many pictures. You can view a few more by checking out my Lake Marion adventures post.

Perhaps tomorrow I’ll share a few photos of the Lake Marion drought. I won’t post too many here but you’ll eventually find the entire set if you visit my photography website.

If you like what you see please subscribe to Opal Tribble’s photography’s RSS feed. If you’ve visited my photography website before you might notice a subtle change. The background is all black now.  I made the change this morning.

I was using the stock Word Press theme but I didn’t like it too much so now it’s all Black. I’m in good company Pete of My GPS Camera Phone uses it also along with Beth of Eclectic Studio Cafe. Mike Goad also uses it on his photography website when you go onto his photoblog he uses a combo. I also use the Word Press Plug In YAPB (Yet Another Photo Blog) on this website. It’s a great plug in that will turn many blogs into a photoblog. I love it.

I haven’t promoted my photography website as much as I should I enjoy capturing what I see but I still have a lot to learn. Over the next few months I will be doing more with my website, as well as a few of my other websites that don’t get as much attention as Vegan Momma.
