A Beautiful Rose

My daughter and I have been outside most of the day. I took hundreds of pictures. Here is one of my daughter’s favorite pictures. I didn’t like it too much but my daughter does. Clicking on the picture will take you to a much larger image.

Did you know the rose is an edible flower? Of course I wouldn’t eat it if it was sprayed however since my roses are organic I really don’t have to worry about that. Rose essential oil is excellent for the skin. Rose petals can also relive cold and flu symptoms.

I shot this picture in RAW occasionally I shoot in RAW-JPEG using my Nikon D80. Why RAW? High quality prints, control of white balance correction, exposure adjustment, etc., All my images were uploaded in Aperture 1.5. Aperture is only available for Apple Mac.

My daughter wants me to print the largest photo I can. That would be an 11×17 picture. I use the Epson Stylus Photo R2400 so that won’t be a problem. Where’s this

I’m on a three day break. I’m in my second day. The posting over the next few days will be light. I’ll be commenting on other blogs but I’m limiting my online time to three hours.

I had already mentioned I would be doing this to Thomas - Technical Blogger and I think I might have mentioned it to Beth. My birthday is tomorrow. I’ll be 37 although I don’t make a big to do about celebrating my birthday (it’s just another day to me) I have started recognizing celebrations because of my daughter.
