Vegetable Wrap: Hummus Wrapped with lettuce

Hummus wrapped with leafy green lettuce

Who knew that something so simple could taste so good? I did which explains why I made it. This is simply hummus wrapped with leafy green lettuce. I usually have fruit as my first meal of the day; however, yesterday I decided that I wanted some greens. This is what I came up with. My daughter loved it and had three of these wraps. I’m happy the greens (collards and kale) are ready to be picked so that means I don’t have to purchase anymore greens from the store. Sweet! I’ll post the recipe on The Raw & The Cooked later today.

I love almost any lettuce wraps. Now I’m craving them and will have to make a trip to PF Changs soon.

I’m not a big fan of hummus, but my wife keeps nagging me to go vegan with her, so I guess I’ll have to learn to love. Leafy lettuce wraps sound delicious.

It sounds like a wonderful idea! I need to try that! I am new to the “veg” thing and your blog is a treasure to me! Thanks! :-)

I tried to subscribe with feedburner, but it seems like it does not work. I only got a white page… But I have subscribed to your other blog and it worked. Go figure!

    Harmonia,
    They are good, aren’t they?

    Veggies, Crafts, & Tails,
    I agree!

    teeni,
Well they are low in calorie. ;-)

    Barry Cox,
I hope you enjoyed your sandwich.

    Layla,
Oh there are more foods than hummus so you definitely can pick and choose what you like. :-)

    Tricotine,
I’m glad you like it. Hmm, I’ll have to check the feedburner issue I suspect it has been acting up on here based on the amount my readers have fluctuated. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll see if I can figure out what is going on. :-)

I’ve never tasted hummus before because it’s a rare find in my country. But I would love to try this out, anything with vege is nice!
