Rose

These roses are very fragrant. I can smell them long before I see them.

Roses

Single Rose

I met one person named Rose in college. She definitely matched the flower. She was beautiful but very “prickly”.

Alright I always have a tune playing in my head. This was the song I was hearing as I shot these pictures.

Total: Kissing You

Kissin’ you is all that I been thinking of
Kissin’ you is good

Don’t matter who knows
I don’t care who sees me
And thinking about you makes my life complete
And what I mean by that
That my whole world changes
You make me feel things that I never felt
I wanna kiss you

Repeat 1
Oh yeah, I wanna kiss you
Repeat 1

When I’m with my friends
I’m trying to figure out a way
To leave ‘em behind just to get back to you
Oh, you’re my best kept secret
And that’s the way I like it
You’re my pride and joy boy
That’s why I’m dreaming of you
I wanna kiss you

Repeat 1
Kissing you’s so good
Repeat 1

2 - You’re my pride and joy
You’re my baby boy
People ask me how I feel about you
They ask me if I love you (yeah)
Am I crazy for you (yeah yeah yeah)

Repeat 1
Oh yeah, I wanna kiss you
Repeat 1

Repeat 2

Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Kissing you is so good
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Oh yeah, I wanna kiss you
Repeat 1

I been thinking ’bout you, dreaming ’bout you, thinking about, you yeah, y eah
Repeat 1

Oh kissing you is so good
Got to have it, have your love that’s all I’m thinking of
Repeat until fade

Roomster.net Helps Virtually Search For Your Roommate

Roomster.net logo

This is a sponsored review.

When I was in college, I had roommates. During my freshman year, I had no control of whom I ended up with, but thankfully I did not end up with the roommate from hell. I shared a room with Nancy who was from Jacksonville, Florida and Becky who lived in Roanoke, Virginia.

Our personalities were completely different, and we got along fabulously. Not only were we roomies we were great friends. After I graduated from college, I thought about rooming with someone else but I quickly shut down that idea since I did not have a way of learning about the person before I would be paired with them. Have you ever seen the movie Single White Female? That was a roomie from hell.

Over the past few years I have seen roommate services like Roomster.net sprout up. If they were online back when I was thinking about it I would have definitely checked out one of these services. They are there to take some of the guesswork out of finding a rooming partner. This is an excellent tool for someone that is looking for a place to live or is searching for a roommate to live in their place.

Roomster main page

If you log onto Roomster.net you are greeted with the screen above. As you can see there are a lot of people looking for roommates. The basic membership at roomster.net is free. You can sign up, post your basis details and start looking for a place to live or promoting your residence. Isn’t the internet great?

Roomster Search

Roomster allows you to search, post, and contact other members for free. As you can see you can hunt for roommates in the USA, Canada, and the UK.

Roomster Features

  1. Hot list members you like
  2. Receive daily matches via email
  3. Get matched with other members using keywords & personality traits
  4. Have friends write testimonials
  5. IM or chat with members that you might be interested in rooming with

The basic membership is free. You can purchase a Full Membership at Roomster.net at different prices.

Roomster’s Full Membership Pricing

  • $5.95 Four Day Access
  • $14.95 Two Weeks Of Full Access
  • $29.95 For Four Full Weeks of Full Access

All subscriptions are automatically renewed.

What I Would Change?

I would change the start up page. It reminds me more of a dating website. I don’t think it looks professional. Instead of having a bunch of photos towards the bottom I would have them featured in a sidebar on the right hand side.

What Would I include on the right hand side?

  1. Testimonial section
  2. Search by state
  3. Roomster suggested Links

Left Hand Sidebar

  • Highlight the features they offer
  • Pricing
  • List the memberships and perhaps compare and contrast the two
  • Have something like “Roomster Guide To Hassle Free Moving”
  • Roomster’s Safe Tips- Obviously some people will be hesitant to select a roommate online include tips on what to look out for when conducting a roommate search online.

I have checked out this website for a few days before writing the review. I had to hunt around to locate the pricing. Make it easily accessible and more user-friendly. They have plenty of content I would just like to see what they do have marketed better. Overall I really like it and would have used this service if it were available in the early 1990’s. If you’re looking for a roommate log onto roomster.net using their service can definitely assist you in your search for a roommate.

Question: Have you had roommates? If so how did you find them?

Chestnut Tree: Early Morning Harvest

Posted on September 24th, 2007 in Personal, Photography by Vegan Momma

Chestnut Tree

Chestnuts

Have you ever wondered what a chestnut tree looked like? Here’s a close up of one of my chestnut trees. When I awoke this morning at 4:30 I decided that I would go outside and snap a few pictures. When I wake up in the morning. I literally jump out of bed. I don’t need time to wake up and I’m not awakened by an alarm clock. I’ve found that my internal alarm is so much better. On average I sleep three - five hours nightly.

If I need to awaken very early like 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. When I go to bed I tell myself, “Opal you need to be awake by _____ I always awake before that time. I think know my lifestyle has a lot to do with the sleep I require.I don’t make bad choices when it comes to the foods I eat. I constantly see people trying to justify their bad choices what many fail to realize or maybe just ignore that what you choose now usually catches up with you and bites you in the behind later.

I make healthy food choices; I don’t take “breaks from my health.” Guess what my body might not be so forgiving later in life if I sneak around and make bad food choices now and besides there are so many healthy foods that taste good foods I don’t need to load my body up with junk. I only have one body in this lifetime so you better believe I watch what I consume.

Chestnut Tree

If you closely look at the above picture, you will see chestnuts peeking out of their spiny casing. Oh by the way those spines hurt. I love to walk barefoot three seasons out of the year.  When I’ve walked by my Chestnut tree without paying attention to the ground I’ve been impaled with one of these spines.

Chestnuts differ from other nuts in that they are low in fat. They have a crumby texture and they are mildly sweet. I love them. There is nothing like tasting a freshly picked chestnut.

It was beautiful outside this morning. It’s always beautiful. I harvested the chestnuts from the tree, snapped a few pictures, and decide to share them with my readers. The pictures were shot with my Nikon D80 in RAW. I uploaded them to Aperture 1.5. For a detailed look check out Apple’s information about Aperture 1.5. Aperture 1.5 is the best photo management software that I’ve used. I’ve used several over the years.

I’ll be upgrading my Nikon to a Nikon DX2 or something similar towards the end of next year. I’m looking for something that has a few more features than my Nikon D80. I love this camera and use it almost every day. Initially I was going to sell the Nikon D80 but I might let my daughter have it. She has taken several shots with this camera and I’m truly impressed with what she’s captured. I regularly share her shots and mine with family & friends.
