Priority Mail Flat Rate Box: You Can Save Money Using Priority Mail Flat Rate Box

Priority Mail Flat Rate BoxWhen I created this website almost three years ago I decided that I would not talk about my business until about the two year mark. I admit it’s felt odd not writing about it.

One of the many things I pride myself on is providing my customers a fabulous experience from the time they purchase my item until it lands on their doorstep.

All my items are shipped with delivery confirmation and shipping insurance. If the unthinkable happens and something is damaged they are reimbursed. My new customers are usually surprised at this “extra service” and naturally are pleased that I’m thinking of them.

Thankfully I have had only one incident where I had to file a claim for a damaged package. Although it took weeks for me to be reimbursed by USPS I sent my customer their shipment via next day delivery and I also tossed in extras.

Change In Postage: What’s The Big Deal?

When I heard about the cheaper way to send priority mail, I sent an enewsletter to all my customers. I made them aware of another way my company would be saving them additional money if they had a larger order. The feedback I received from the email was positive. That simple enewsletter I sent made me several hundred dollars in less than five hours. I took the time to connect with my customers.

I make an effort to personally connect with my customers and curious virtual window shoppers. I truly care about their experience and of course I want them to come back. Guess what I apply those same business practices with my websites. I make an effort to connect with people at times it takes a lot of work but I think the results are definitely worth it.

Why am I sharing this with you?

Although I know about the boxes it does not mean my readers are aware that they are available. If you occasionally do send packages it might be something worth checking out. If your package is light you might do better sending it another way however if you do have a heavy package you might want to check out the boxes they are offering and see whether they can fit your needs. The great thing is despite how much the package weighs if it can fit in one of the two flat rate boxes provided the price is $8.95.

Yesterday I shipped a package to my buddy Beth at Eclectic Studio Cafe. This package would have cost more than $8.95 without using Flat Rate Box however since I chose this method I saved money and she will receive it in 2-3 days. Pretty cool, eh?  If you’re sending a shipment check out the flat rates that USPS has to offer. It might save you money and the person might receive it quicker.

Thanks to Beth for allowing me to send something to her and realizing that I’m not some psycho on the net. I truly love getting to know my blogging buddies on a personal level.

What’s the box size?

Log onto the USPS and check out the USPS Flat Rate to see what they have to offer and don’t forget it’s free to order these boxes. I wrote about free USPS boxes in my post USPS: Order Boxes Free At USPS!
