I heard this song this afternoon. Of course it was the Veggie Tales cartoon version. I took my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese. We feasted on their salad and fruit bar. I always thought this song was cute. I searched YouTube but they did not have the actual video only the CSI version. I never watched CSI but I always thought William Peterson and Gary Dourdan were very hot. Gary, by the way, used to wear his hair in loc’s and played Shaza Zulu on A Different World.

Wild Cats & The Great Outdoors

Kitten eating raw meat

Meow! Meow! Meow! I usually hear that in the evening time. We have cats that live in the neighborhood. There is plenty of wildlife around to keep their tummies full, but yesterday this cry sounded desperate. My daughter and I were already outside so I decided to do some investigating. I started talking back to the cat you know “Meowglish” which made the cat excited! It responded back with more meow talk. My daughter and I were rewarded by seeing a tiny head pop out.

It seemed shocked that someone that looked like me could speak it’s language. What type of cat was I? Most likely it was wondering what that crazy thing was trying to be “down. ;-) The kitten was naturally curious but very cautious. I told my daughter if we were patient it would eventually come to us. We exchanged meows for a few minutes, and it’s crept towards us in wide arcs, although it was still timid it became bolder.

I had to keep telling my daughter (between meows) not to make any sudden movements otherwise it would run away. It was within arms reach of us when it decided we must be ok it targeted my daughter and instantly hopped on her before it decided I was ok and started climbing on me. Its motor was really going and it purred happily as we pet it. Its mom was most likely hunting for food to bring back and feed it. I see them together.

Kitten eating raw chicken hearts

My animals are all raw fed. My daughter and I are vegan. My animals aren’t. I have a refrigerator that I keep outside which holds their raw meat. I told my daughter we were going to give it something to eat. In the pictures, you’ll see boo boo kitty chowing down on hearts and liver. It was cute watching it eat. It really did not know what to eat first and was meowing the entire time while it was eating. It takes a lot to feed a growing kitty and I wanted to help out.

When I was young, we had wild cats that hung around our place. They hung around because we fed them. They lived in our shed so they were protected from the elements. This cat family lives in my shed. It’s fully insulated so they are quite warm during the cold seasons. I told Aiyana, “Maybe the mommy cat will have more food for herself this evening since we gave her little kitty some food.” Regardless of the species all mommies need a take it easy day. ;-)
