Google-Adsense

This morning I logged into Google Adsense and was greeted with the above screenshot. Clicking on the picture will take you to a larger image. Initially, I started looking into monetizing my websites because I was curious. I wanted to see how much I could make monetizing my websites.

I’ve made quite a bit of pocket change since I started in May and I learned a lot along the way. I used to write about my accomplishments a lot more like the post I wrote titled How Much Has Opal Made? Although I wasn’t making a lot at the time it was interesting to document my progress.

Paid Post

MacBros’ of MacBros’ Place was one of the first people I saw writing paid reviews. My views about paid post are different than they were initially. I used to quickly add other posts after I wrote a paid post, but now I don’t do that. When I thought about it, I didn’t think it was fair to the advertiser not all are looking for a link bait some specifically seek out bloggers that have a great community.

The majority of the review I do is from Sponsored Reviews. I like the fact that the advertisers have to choose me to do the review. That’s different than Pay Per Post since the blogger can select the reviews they want if they have the correct requirements. Although it makes the process easier for the blogger it might not be the right fit for the advertiser.

At Sponsored Reviews, the advertiser has a chance to look at my website if they don’t think I am the right fit than I don’t get the review. Sponsored Reviews regularly offer opportunities that I and my readers would be interested in.

Google Adsense

In June I slowed down on writing paid reviews and started using Google Adsense. Initially, I would check my Google Adsense report a few times daily eagerly checking to see how much money I had made. In the beginning I was averaging about $2 per day.

Now I’m lucky if I check the report
