Ebay Does Vegan Momma Good, Internet Safety, Effective Stumbling, etc.,
In my quest to change my packrat tendencies In my post Packrats & Breastpumps I wrote about selling items on ebay. I’m happy to say that everything I’ve put up there has sold. Over the years I’ve noticed that those who marketed their products well, with overly saturated items, did a lot better than people that just stuck their merchandise out there.
I’ll be shipping off a load of items today. I only have one more electrical appliance to sell. My excalibur dehydrator I’m upgrading to metal dehydrator. I still haven’t gotten rid of my daughter’s cloth diapers, shoes, or dresses. I gave a lot of her stuff away. Although I admit I am a packrat. I’m a very organized packrat so everything I had was packed neatly inside storage
RSS Spotlight
If you look in the upper left hand corner directly below my sponsors, Vivid Seats you will see the website in the spotlight this week is Imaginif. I wanted to direct my readers attention to the post written by wizWriters and it’s titled Are you aware of the term Internet Safety?
Please take a moment to check out the article and browse through the other articles on this fabulous website. I would also suggest that you stumble an article that you like. I will be stumbling this one as well as a few others.
What’s Stumbling?
What’s the big deal about Stumbling? If you stumble an article that you like you are potentially drawing more readers to that particular website. It’s another way to recognize a website that you enjoy. Shaun Low has written an excellent article titled A Definitive Stumbled Upon Guide: Driving Traffic To Websites. I commented on that post and mentioned to him that I did not think too many of my commenters really used this feature. I could be wrong though, lol.
I think it’s important to not only leave quality comments on my readers blogs but to recognize them by sharing their information with others one way I do this is by regularly recognizing readers on my blog another way is by actively stumbling articles weekly. I have Stumbled everyone on my blogroll at least once. I also Stumble new articles.
A few of my readers have told me that their traffic has increased on the days that I Stumbled their articles. Check out Shaun Low’s article on Stumbling and please start stumbling others. :-)
In other news…
I unintentionally posted some of information below in my Roasted Garlic & Ginger Grilled Vegetables post yesterday. I didn’t mean to so I cut it out and reposted it here.
Another Advertiser?
I was approached recently by an advertiser who wants to advertise on my website. I haven’t gotten back to them yet but I’ll think about it. I will see if I can try out the product first. I had a chance to review the website early this morning and I have to admit I’m interested.
A New Direction for Healing Yourself Naturally?
I was contacted by email about my Healing Yourself Naturally website. The person who contacted me approached me about writing articles for their online ezine. This isn’t something I just write about. I practice what I “preach”. I truly hope that comes across in my writings. I definitely am passionate about it.
You won’t find over the counter drugs mentioned on my website. I don’t think all allopathic medicine is “evil” neither do I think that alternative medicine is always the best choice. I just don’t believe I need to write about allopathic medicine. I don’t use it in the home. There’s plenty of other websites that already write about them.
The ezine is very good and over the years I’ve happened upon it a few times in my web travels. If I was only into the PR aspect I would leap at the opportunity because it’s fairly high ranking. It has a PR of 8. I know with the content, and the amount of readers they have I do have I have the potential to reach a lot more people that will trickle onto my website.
The problem? My time is limited so I have to think do I want to commit myself to this? The good thing is I don’t have to commit to do it now. It’s something I could do later down the road. It’s nice being recognized I put a lot of time into my articles. The only frustrating thing is my articles get scraped often. I don’t like that at all.
I was contacted last week about my weight loss website. A young site has asked me to write articles there as well. I’m actually thinking of doing that one since I don’t have to do it often.

I spend quite a bit stumbling other people and I get stumbled in return. I first started stumbling myself and got nowhere so gave up. Then some one stumbled me and I got a couple of hundred visits. That piqued my interest.
My most popular posts can get about 1,500 visits in one day. I do get spikes in RSS subscriptions but then it goes down the next day. It varies so much on a day to day basis, but overall it’s going up.

I’ve not used ebay to sell too many things, mostly gone to craiglist. To sell your cloth diapers I can recommend to go to mothering.com forums because a lot of women there will buy used diapers, but ebay does not allow them and does pull those listings. They only allow new diapers for sale now.
Imaginif is perfect for your RSS Feeds on your sidebar. I just love that idea, you really do think outside the box with your ideas!

I still need to get a handle on Stumbling. I noticed that you added my site to StumbleUpon and I have received a couple of reviews from other people. I get a couple of hits a day from that site.
I think it is excellent and not surprising at all that you are being contacted by other websites. You might want to keep the ezine in mind. That might be worth the extra time to get a decent boost in your traffic, not that you aren’t doing great on your own.
Keep up the great work!
