Advertisers Are Calling And Minor Updates

Posted on August 8th, 2007 in Personal by Vegan Momma

It’s been a hectic day in our household currently I’m spending much needed quality time with my daughter. Children need so much attention and that’s a good thing how else are they to learn? They need people around that genuinely care about the and give them much needed attention.

Minor Updates

This week a few advertisers approached me by email they wanted to purchase space on my website. It’s just like the ads that you see from Google adsense, but here I’m guaranteed payment since it’s not pay per click.

I think it’s a service that my readers can truly benefit from. I’ve checked out the advertiser’s websites and am impressed with what they have to offer. If I make the decision to accept the offers, I’ll be virtually introducing the advertisers to my readers.

I’m currently working on a few articles for my websites, and I should have them finished within the next few days. I’ll most likely be awake well after my daughter falls asleep this evening.

Playing with the WordPress Theme

I really like this theme, but I’ve been toying with the theme I see on CopyBlogger for a little while. It’s similar in appearance to this theme. The only difference is that you’ll see a column on the left hand side and one on the right. I’ll most likely put it up within the next few days.

I think the left hand side would be a perfect place to add clips of videos that I feature but we’ll see.

Question: How often do you change your blog’s theme?

Gym Day

Posted on August 8th, 2007 in Family, Mentoring by Vegan Momma

Movie: Are we There Yet?Would it surprise anyone if I said I didn’t make it to the gym yesterday? I know it didn’t surprise me. I did work out at home. I’ve been playing catchup this weekend.

I was planning to put the finishing touches on my video when I arrived home Sunday from dropping off my mentees at camp but when I arrived home (after seven hours of driving) I was too tired! Gah!

Yes I was driving for seven hours! The four-hour ride into seven-hour nightmare, lol. Thomas - Technical Blogger it looks like I have my “Are We There Yet story; unfortunately, I have no time to post it now because I am off to the gym.

Upcoming Posts

I’ll be doing spotlight posts on two fabulous bloggers tomorrow so be sure to check out those entries.

Minor Achievement

I wrote on all six of my blogs yesterday. Who cares? LOL for some reason that made me happy. I don’t know why and it wasn’t my intention of writing on every single one but it happened.

You know what I’m realizing? I really need to make time for myself. I always say I will make the time but actually doing that is an entirely different story, lol. Working out in the gym is my me time. I enjoy it immensely.

Let me get out of here before another project rears it’s demanding head and I feel obligated to stay home and complete it. You know what I have a demanding boss! Oh that’s right I am the boss. Pfft!

Question: How do you spend your “me time”? If you’re like myself and struggle with the “me time” what changes can you make?

Halloween The Movie

Posted on August 8th, 2007 in Entertainment by Vegan Momma

This is a sponsored post

I find it interesting that I was given the opportunity to write about Rob Zombie’s latest accomplishment. You see two days ago I was trying to pick my best Zombie video and create a post about it. My neighbor reminds me of Rob Zombie they bear a striking resemblance to each other.

However, I haven’t gotten around to writing that post but I will. I actually thought I had mentioned him a lot more on this blog but searching through the archives I can only find this Rob Zombie post.

Halloween the Movie will be hitting the theaters soon. Can you guess who’s behind it? Rob Zombie! You won’t have to wait to Halloween to see it (although I thought that would be very cool) it will be hitting theaters on August 31st.

I’ve watched all the Halloween movies and really enjoyed them. I loved the Halloween music theme and I’m happy to see that it will still be featured in this movie. I think Halloween I was my favorite in that series.

It would be difficult for me to pick my favorite scary movie for the record they never scare me, but I do look for effects that aren’t to over the top since I like to use my imagination, costuming is a huge plus with me, along with good acting.

What are some of my favorite scary movies The Birds (original), The Shining (original), and Pans Labyrinth they all had me on the edge of my seat, although I knew what would happen in The Birds and The Shining (I had read the books first.)

I believe Rob Zombie will deliver that in this movie. You’ll see more of the young Michael even though Donald Pleasance showed this in the original movies Rob Zombie goes more in depth with it.

I’m really looking forward to this movie and am happy that Malcolm McDowell will be in this movie. I’m sure it will bring back memories of when I watched the original Halloween. I like the classic horror monster movies and from the interviews I’ve watched of Rob Zombie over the years I really don’t think I’ll be disappointed.

Question: What’s your favorite scary movie?
