Raw Fettucini Pasta with Marinara Sauce

Raw Fettucini Pasta with Marinara Sauce

I made this earlier this evening. The pasta is made from zucchini. This meal was prepped and on the table in less than five minutes. It was healthy delicious, and simple. I love it.

I use the plastic spiral vegetable slicer that I’ve featured above. (I’m an Amazon affiliate.) Anyway I’ve had this spiral slicer for almost a year and it gets used several times each week. It continues to pump out yummy vegetable pasta. I mainly use squash and carrots to make my pasta.

Occasionally I’ll use potatoes to make “curly fries” for my daughter. We “spiralize the potatoes” and then bake them.  She loves to help and I’ll let her make the noodles.

The spiralizer comes with at least three different blades so I can change the size of my noodles but to be honest I only use one of them. I love this device it’s a definite keeper and a much healthier alternative than your traditional pasta.

Stay tuned! Within the next few weeks I’ll be including a how to video tutorial on how to make vegetable pasta with your spiral vegetable slicer.

An Unfortunate Event: Dead Deer

Posted on July 18th, 2007 in Animal Rights by Vegan Momma

This morning I went outside to take the dogs out for a walk and noticed something by my grapevine upon closer inspection I saw it was a deer. I figured it had to be sick or dead because although the deer came fairly close I’ve never seen them act this way.

Upon closer inspection, it confirmed what I had feared one of the does had died during the night. I knew one of the deer was sick. I had seen loose piles of deer feces near my flower garden. I’ll be burying the doe shortly and covering it with something that won’t leave a smell.

Why am I doing that? I don’t want to risk something else getting sick from eating the deer.

I took a picture but have purposely put it under the Read More tab don’t click past this point if you don’t want to see the picture.

Well Heart - All Natural Way to Lower Cholesterol
I used to work for a local hospital. I worked in Research/Family Medicine. Our team conducted health fairs a few times yearly.

We gave free blood pressure checks at local events, and we also offered free classes to those who were interested in lowering their blood pressure.

I’ve included a question I received yesterday in my email. It’s a question I’ve been asked several times throughout the years.

Question: I have a friend that needs to lower his blood pressure how can he do this naturally?

Smiley: Confused

I Just Didn’t Know
According to recent statistics, one in three adults has high blood pressure but doesn’t even know it. This is why high blood pressure has often been called the silent killer.

It’s important to get your blood pressure checked to make sure it falls within the normal range. If it goes
