Shrek III

D and I had a fabulous time at our movie and lunch today. She lives in downtown Baltimore. I picked her up at 12:30 and we chatted all the way to The Avenue on the Square which is located in White Marsh, Maryland.

She has never been to that movie theater and really had a wonderful time. I liked Shrek III it’s not the best movie I’ve seen, but the graphics were amazing, and my curiosity was piqued. I’ll be renting Shrek I and II to fill in the gaps. Who knows I might turn into a “Shrekkie?”

The Red Brick Station
After the movie we ate at the Red Brick Station I wasn’t very hungry so I ordered the hummus. She got the chicken sandwich and fries. I told her in advance that she could order whatever she wanted I told her not to feel self-conscious if she didn’t want to eat vegetarian or vegan meal.

She tried some of my hummus and liked it. It was too bland for me so I wasn’t to thrilled with it; however, the veggies were fresh and delicious so I snacked on those.

Chatting
D is very curious about me working for myself so she was firing away with the questions. I think it’s wonderful for her to see that you can make it working for yourself, and I think she can relate to it more since I’m black just like her. In her mind, her dreams of working for herself can be achieved since Ms. Opal is black just like me and she’s doing it.

I’m very honest with her and have talked about the demands I face working for myself. The hours are long. I easily work seventy hours per week but that’s because I’ve added my personal websites into the mix as time progresses I wont have to work as hard; eventually, my websites will be working for me.

D’s like a sponge and soaks up everything. I told her I worked in the corporate world for twelve years, and I grew tired of it. I would rather work for myself.

In other news…
This week is quickly flying by so I’m trying to knock out the bulk of my work this week so next week the main thing I do when I’m online is writing. We’ll see how that works out. I’m also going to do some advance posting for next week so if for some reason I’m unable to access the internet. I’ll be on a modem my posts will still be published daily.

Which reminds me, I better make my way to the Apple Store tomorrow or I won’t be working anywhere. Summerton, South Carolina is a small town and I was unsuccessful in finding a modem last time. I could have gone to a bigger city but that would have defeated getting away from it all.
