Did you know that women purchase most of the vehicles purchased in the USA each year? I’ve been to car dealerships and auto mechanics where they have talked down to me just because I was a woman.

A few years back, I remember reading a survey that stated car dealerships and auto mechanic shops are the places where women are usually taken advantage of. I had to chuckle since I had been in similar situations they automatically assumed that I didn’t know anything about cars. They were wrong.

Click to Provide 4 bags of groceries

I saw this on Harmonia’s website and felt I had to pass it on. I do a lot of volunteer work one of the organizations I’ve volunteered for is America’s Second Harvest. They’re a fabulous organization. They currently need people to click on the red banner located at the lower right hand corner of their main page.

For every click they receive, ConAgra Foods will donate $1 to provide 4 bags of groceries for hungry families so start clicking!

Did you know that…

A deer watching me

A few hours ago I looked outside and here’s what I saw grazing across the street. I quietly went outside and stood about 100 feet away from her and started taking pictures. She heard the shutter go off and looked up to watch what the strange creature was doing.

A deer grazing

I guess she figured I would not do anything to her so she went back to grazing on the grass.

It’s the first time I’ve caught a deer in a few years although they regularly come up close to the house.  The grass is lush and a vibrant green. Maybe it tastes better?  What do you think? Who knows? Or just maybe they love nibbling the tasty beans from my garden. The only thing she needed to do was cross the street, run a few thousand feet and she would have been in produce heaven (my garden.)

I was actually able to get very close to her. She didn’t leave until I turned around and walked back into the house.

Five Things You Shouldn’t Do With Google Adsense

Boy on computer

I have known about Google Adsense for a while, but I didn’t pay too much attention to it until the beginning of May. I read their rules, how it worked, etc., I was curious, but I wasn’t ready to add it to my website. I felt that I needed to learn more. I’m still learning.

I’ve included a list of things not to do I picked them up from reading Google’s terms of service, browsing articles, forums, etc. Some of these are should be obvious and others might not be…

1. Don’t click on your own ads.
Well Duh! Ok this one should be obvious if you think about it you woul be gaming the system, right? No matter how interesting an ad is leave it alone! Ignoring the rules will get your account terminated Don’t do it!

Playing with ad placement

Posted on June 13th, 2007 in Google Adsense, Personal, Technology by Vegan Momma

A few hours ago I moved my Google Adsense codes. You know what since I made that simple change I’ve broken the three-dollar mark so far today, I’ve made $3.18 and they mainly came from that ad placement. It was there before only in a different location. I’ll be curious to see how it performs over the next few weeks.
