YouTube Coming to Apple TV
Yesterday morning while I was checking out Apple’s hot news I saw that YouTube will be available on AppleTV.
I haven’t bought an Apple TV & I probably won’t. However, I have been thinking about purchasing the Mac Mini. I think it would be a great addition to for a mini media center.
YouTube Coming to Apple TV
CUPERTINO, California–May, 30, 2007–Apple® today announced that it’s bringing the Internet’s most popular originally-created content from YouTube to the living room with Apple TV™. Beginning in mid-June, Apple TV will wirelessly stream videos directly from YouTube and play them on a user’s widescreen TV. Using Apple TV’s elegant interface and simple Apple Remote, viewers can easily browse, find and watch free videos from YouTube in the comfort of their living room.
“This is the first time users can easily browse, find and watch YouTube videos right from their living room couch, and it’s really, really fun,†said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “YouTube is a worldwide sensation, and Apple TV is bringing it directly from the Internet onto the widescreen TV in your living room.â€<Apple>

I don’t even watch regular TV, so I’m not really interested in an apple TV :-)
Looks like a sexy device, though.

Now doesn’t THAT sound awesome!? :D
I hooked up #5 to the big screen tv, so I have wicked VOD now that broadcasts through the house. Now if I can just find the time to watch it….

harmonia,
Yes there is always something new. I’m thinking Apple will be revealing something another biggie sometime next year.
pieterbie,
Yes it is pretty sexy. :-) I’m with you I rarely watch regular tv. The media center will basically feature my work, and some select videos I’ve purchased from various online sources.
Jon,
I’m wondering what affect this will have on the picture quality?
VOD I’m thinking Video on Demand, right? I think #5 is referring to computer #5.
That’s a very nice set up.
I’m crowning you king of the tech geeks. ;)
