They’re back ~ The Police
This is a sponsored post.
The first time I heard The Police I was hooked. I loved their style of music. I remember wondering “Who is this?” and “Where can I get their album?” There style of music was influenced by reggae and punk music. I love both styles.
They became very popular in the early 1980’s. There were three in the group. Sting was the singer/bassist. The guitarist was Andy Summers, and drummer was Stewart Copeland.
I remember going to the record store (I think Sam Goody) to pick up their album Sychronicity. I loved all the songs on their album. That in itself is indeed rare. I have very few albums where I like everything.
The album soared to number one in the US and the UK. It went Platinum eight times in the US. Amazing! I was pretty disappointed when they broke up in the mid 1980’s. They reunited to perform at the 2007 Grammy Awards. It’s one of the only Grammy Awards shows I’ve ever watched.
A few of my favorite songs were; Murder By Numbers, Message in Bottle, Hole in My Life, & Every Little Breath You Take.

I was excited to learn that they are going on a new worldwide tour! I’m even happier to see that they will be in Baltimore, Maryland on August 4th!! They’ll be performing at the Virgin Festival!!! Whee! I cannot wait for this event until that time I’ll definitely be picking up the police cd. Curious as to what songs are featured? Check out below.

Sadly, I passed on it. I must be the odd ball because I have never liked them. I don’t know why.

Sassy,
It’s not for everyone and there is nothing wrong with that. :D
