Mentoring ~ So is this goodbye?
Yesterday was my mentoring partner, A’s, last day. The funny thing about is was I didn’t know it. If I had I would have had our mentees do something to recognize the time she had spent with them.
A was a senior at Johns Hopkins University and left last evening. She’s from Minnesota. The girls really enjoy being around her and that’s important. Who knows? She might be around next year if she can find a job in Maryland. If she returns she will be serving as a group mentor at the same school. I might do that along with 1:1 mentoring.
