She’s Crafty

This is what my daughter created earlier this evening. She put the beads on. I knotted after each bead. This is a very secure piece. I wish you could have seen the expression on my daughters face. She was bursting with pride! I thought glass and wood be nice but Aiyana choose glass and plastic.
When it comes to creativity I don’t tell my daughter what she should do. I’m not about to stifle that? The design wouldn’t be completely hers if I tried to put my stamp on it.
I let her do her thing.
The glass beads give it a nice weight and it makes her feel like a big girl. We’re going to make a matching necklace tomorrow.
Materials used:
Glass beads
Plastic beads
Hemp cord

She’s very talented to be so young. One of these days people will be ordering her jewelry :)

Sassy,
I think she is. She has quite the artistic eye. She’s been watching me make jewelry ever since she was an infant. When she was crawling around she would reach for my jewelry equipment. I put it away for several months. :-) It’s a lovely way to bond!
jessica,
Yes, love the design. I enjoy seeing her express herself.

I love the colors! I used to make jewelry but put it away when Liam reached the “everything goes in the mouth” stage. I should pull it our for a while before Kieran reaches that stage. I bet Liam would love to make something.

Crafty indeed. I’ve tried jewelry making but I don’t have the color matching savvy of some. She’s an inspiration.
