More web updates
I think I’ll document my other websites progress on this blog. I’m going to try to get to sleep early this evening. My other websites are doing well especially The Raw & The Cooked. I’m receiving a little over 170 unique visit per day.
My two websites went live on May 12th. I really haven’t started to put a lot of attention into them. There is only so much one can do in a day. I’m hoping to really get to work with the PR aspect sometime this weekend or next week. We’ll see how my schedule comes along.
Initially I was just going to post recipes on The Raw & The Cooked but the more I thought about it I decided I could at least post something along with the recipe to make it more personable. I like seeing a blog owners personality come out on their website and a person really isn’t going to “see that” if I’m just writing a recipe or posting pictures, right?
I’m receiving a little under 100 unique visits with The Raw Review. I haven’t done too much with that one but both websites are receiving traffic/comments. The Raw & The Cooked receiving the most. I think the higher traffic, in the beginning, will be on The Raw & The Cooked.
The Raw Review will take a little longer since it’s main focus will be articles written from a holistic standpoint. I’ve written quite a few I’ve never posted them but that will start to change.
I’m learning & applying the info I’ve learned to take my websites to the next level. I really would prefer to make the major mistakes Now while my blogs are babies. The negative impact will be a lot les severe now than with a website that’s been around for a while.
Case in point with the last Google update this website, VeganMomma, went from a PR 5 to a PR4. That happened about a week ago. Thinking back I can see changes that I made that more than likely caused the change in ranking. Changing the name of my blog didn’t help. It did not seem major at the time but I suspect that played a role in the my decrease.
That was fine and dandy if I wasn’t wanting to make money from it but since I’ce changed my focus I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. I’ll get the PR back and then some. My focus is adding quality content to this website and reaching out and visiting others. I set a goal to meet at least five new people each day and to leave a well thought out comment.
There are numerous blogs that I like but before I just lurked however I was a loyal reader. I’m changing that. You know what? I’m still learning!
Wishing everyone a sparkling evening!
