My little artist

Earlier this evening Aiyana painted this picture. May 21st she will turn four years old. Or as she says, “A big girl four!” It’s amazing how the time has flown by. I’ve enjoyed each second spent with her. I really like her painting.
I received my appreciation for art from my father. He loves art. As a child I remember spending hours listening to him talk about the different mediums of art, the artists, their lives, and some of the paintings he had acquired.

Visiting art galleries was a special treat and I eagerly looked forward to spending time with my father. It was just the two of us. My brother an mother have never appreciated art the way we did and so they would always stay home. That was fine by me!

Tell Aiyana that’s a wonderful painting! The colors are so vibrant, and were an excellent choice. I’d call Darling in to look, but she’s not home tonight. She also enjoys abstract art. Perhaps the two of them should do a show together, eh?

Tracey,
Aiyana picked out the colors herself. Yep she loves abstract art. She’s definitely like her momma! I’m seriously thinking of purchasing her a little art kit. It was so cute to watch her paint. She was serious as I watched her n amazement she told me what she was doing. She’s always doodling and has run out of the sketch pads that I’ve purchased for her.
This painting was done on canvas paper. It has the same texture/weight as canvas. I wish I had bought canvas but I’ll pick some up this weekend from the fabric store.
