Playing around with Photoshop

Pink Flower

I recently purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements besides using the watermark feature I haven’t done too much with PE. Today has been my day to play around with some of its features. I know I haven’t even scratched it’s surface. I’ll be checking a few online tutorials.

Pink Flower

This textured look makes me think of an afghan I designed several years ago. I cross stitched tea roses on the afghan. I stitched one rose per panel. The roses lined all four sides of the afghan. It took forever to complete but it was gorgeous!

I know a kewel Photoshop CS2 Trick to bring out the depth of an image revealing more details of an image you normally can’t get with a digital camera. I haven’t done it for awhile, but I can take the flower and Photoshop it so the actual bumps and veins of the pedals show a bit stringer.

Well, you know I’m a total PS addict these days, lol! I love the effect you’ve got going there, but I really like the original as well =)

    Tracey,
The original is my favorite. I liked the effect because it made me think of that afghan. I spent a long time creating that! i know that’s probably the longest I’ve ever sat still doing that type of needlework.

I cross stitched that afghan on Christmas break. It literally took a lot of time working on that piece. I was making it for my boyfriends mother. We were very close. That’s the only reason why I spent so much time on it, lol. I was making it for someone I cared about.
