Flower

As I was walking through my flower garden I almost overlooked this flower. It’s pretty easy to do with all the brightly colored flowers I’ve planted. This flower is on the outside of my fence. It’s not as vibrant as it used to be. In full bloom this flower was stunning. My eyes were constantly drawn to it.

And now…
The petals are quickly losing their glorious color and I see dark spots slowly making their way onto the petals. Yet today I felt compelled to turn back and give this flower a second look. In doing so I realized that all the qualities I loved about it before are still there. It’s beautiful.

*It’s important to let those we care about know how much they are appreciated.

    Thank,

The flower made me kind of sad. At times, unfortunately, some people are treated just like that flower. They are ignored because there isn’t anything “spectacular” about them. I try to let those I interact with know how truly special they are. We all need to be appreciated.

I like the “odd” ones…Unique in their own way, you know. I’m not big on the color PINK in general but there is something about this one that stood out. :) There really is beauty in ALL THINGS.

Another reason why I like your pics!

That’s a lovely flower despite it looks like it is wilting away.

Very nice…it can be really challenging taking photos of flowers with vibrant colors in full light.

    Beth Ellen,

Thanks! I’ve found that out! Any tips you might have would be greatly appreciated. I love your photos.

I am still learning too and from what I can tell so far…it seems that the less direct light the better. It depends on the flower too and I have found that on overcast days that are not real dark days, I do better with flowers. I am still trying to figure this out. :)

    Beth Ellen,
Thanks I’ve noticed that also. I had the sun glaring down on a few flower and I was not able to get good pictures although I imagine trying to “filter” the suns rays might work.
