Yawns…
Ok guess who’s not going to the Baltimore Ecofestival? I wish I could but I’m wiped out! We had a lot of fun at our overnight camp. In total I received about thirty minutes of sleep. I stayed up and read.
Aiyana did very well. She enjoyed playing with the mentees there ages ranged from 10 - 16. When she was finally tired she slept like a rock. The weather was fairly brisk. It got down to about 40F. Thank goodness I bought a different sleeping bag. It’s large enough for two people and we definitely did not feel the cold in there.
I brought extra blankets & pillows and they were gratefully accepted by my mentees. One of my mentees didn’t bring a sleeve shirt so I took my sweatshirt off and gave it to her.

I volunteer as a group mentor for “at risk” fifth grade girls. I have six in my group. One of the most challenging jobs I’ve ever had but I love it.
They live in high crime areas and the mentoring aspect is keeping them on the right path so they don’t become another negative statistic.

Wow! That’s great! What you’re doing that is, not that they are high risk.
