Charlotte's Web

Tomorrow we will be seeing Charlotte’s web with K and her two children. Aiyana is ecstatic. We’re currently watching Thomas the Train (for the umpteenth time) as she babbles excitedly about tomorrows upcoming activities. Today has been an excellent day. I relaxed and now I’m hanging out with my daughter. Which is definitely my favorite pastime.

Inkspell

Has anyone read Inkheart and/or Inkspell by Cornelia Funke? I’ve heard about them. I cannot wait to read them when I have some down time. (Ha!)

Collard & Carrot Juice
Collard & Carrot Juice

I’ve been drinking this throughout the day. I actually like the taste although when I first started drinking it a few years ago I wasn’t too fond of it. It’s a great cleansing drink and the bitter taste actually can aid in curbing the appetite.

Chicken(less) Burger and Rosemary Garlic fries

Chicken(less) Burger, Rosemary Garlic Fries w/tomato roasted garlic sauce

Aiyana asked for finger food earlier this week as you can see she took a bite out of her sandwich before mommy took the picture.) ;-).Although I wasn’t feeling great I was happy to accomodate her raw or cooked I love preparing meals. I’s true that make my own burgers and bread however I honestly did not feel like baking. This is a store bought potato roll. Come on now I wasn’t feeling that inspired! The burgers were made by me. Their main ingredient is beans. What did I use in this burger? Chickpeas & navy beans! I also added a variety of spices. I do a lot of things with my food. I’m always experimenting. These beans were marinated overnight. I wanted them to absorb the spices. I think it adds a different dimension to their taste. A friend who tasted them before told me they reminded her of chicken burgers hence their name.
