I have the sniffles

The Day Snuffy Had the Sniffles

Well whaddya know? I have the sniffles! Sniff! Sniff! Knowing that I have an active role in the way my body is responding is a mild wake up call. I need to take better care of me. I let my body become a welcome home for this unwelcome visitor. I mean didn’t I just blog about suspecting my body needed extra rest last week? ;-) Currently I’m taking freshly ground garlic every two hours. Trust me I’m used to fresh garlic so the “eww factor” doesn’t phase me anymore. Who would have thought that garlic appears to be great for the complexion? The last time I had a bout with the sniffles (two summers ago during the fourth of July holiday) the same thing happened. I took two cloves of garlic every two hours while I was awake, got plenty of rest, and the next morning I was fine.

Snowing in VA

I was supposed to go to Alexandria today, postponed from yesterday, but it’s snowing in VA. Actually I was thinking about calling and cancelling the lunch. I don’t mind driving in the snow but (yeah there’s a but) I don’t like being on the road during the snow. Have you ever noticed the amount of people that don’t know how to drive? Add snow or rain and you have added problems. ;-) So I’m hanging out with my daughter today and hoping to catch up on some sleep.

I’m hoping we receive snow. I better start my snow dancing!

I liked this ladies review and in many ways I could relate to it. I started out with Microsoft, built computers, created programs, fixed my family/friends computers but I kept them. Mainly because I was afraid of change however last year I got over it and decided to finally make that move.

Uninspiring Vista

How Microsoft’s long-awaited operating system disappointed a stubborn fan.

By Erika Jonietz

For most of the last two decades, I have been a Microsoft apologist. I mean, not merely a contented user of the company’s operating systems and software, not just a fan, but a champion. I have insisted that MS-DOS wasn’t hard to use (once you got used to it), that Windows 3.1 was the greatest innovation in desktop operating systems, that Word was in fact superior to WordPerfect, and that Windows XP was, quite simply, more

Final Cut Express HD

I had a chance to try out my camcorder Friday evening. I really like it. My daughter, of course, is ecstatic. She’s already talking about our “first movie”. The location, of course, will be outdoors. She was babbling excitedly about hunting for buried treasure in the woods.
