Deleting and adding

Posted on January 7th, 2007 in Personal by Vegan Momma

Over the past few weeks I deleted a lot of categories. There were too many. I wanted to simplify things. I added a Photography category. I’m in the process of adding all my photos under this heading. I’m giving myself plenty of time to complete this. I have almost two years worth of photos next month I will have been blogging for two years. I didn’t know it was that long. :-)

Tripod Update

Posted on January 7th, 2007 in Personal by Vegan Momma

Late this morning Aiyana and I picked up the tripods at Best Buy. They didn’t have the Nikon wireless remote in stock however they were able to order it for me! I should receive it within 3-5 days.

While I was their the supervisor (electronics) asked me if I was business owner. I am. They have a program for business owners, a rewards card, you get discounts on purchases. Since it wasn’t a credit card. I signed up for it. I rarely use my credit card and try to pay my purchases in fool. I do use a check card often when out. The cool thing is it works like a credit card but it is drawn from my checking account. Oh by the way I saved a few pennies on the wireless remote. :-) What’s the big deal about a few pennies you say. Pennies add up. :-)

Hanging w/ ferrets

Three of my ferrets
Kali, Indra, and Hanuman

I took my ferrets outside yesterday. In the picture you see Kali, Indra, and Hanuman.
Ganesh (sable) was foraging somewhere in the background. What are they in? A
ferret playpen. I bought two so they have a large area to roam around and play. I’m thinking of building a fence for them. I think I will go down about 6 feet in the ground. They are excellent diggers. I wouldn’t want them to escape. I’m going to put it towards the back of the property, near our woods. My daughter is extremely excited about creating this “ferrets haven”. :-)

My father, upon seeing them, called them “long-necked rats”. Yeah my dad is a comedian. They aren’t rodents. They are obligate carnivores. They don’t have a cecum so they cannot properly digest plant fiber. They could actually become very sick if I tried to “veganize them”.  I would not even think about doing that. I prepare all my furbabies meals. I’ve definitely seen improvements since doing this.
