This past Sunday I met my friend, C, for lunch I have not seen him since last year. He arrived from Iraq in July. When he arrived back in the States he gave me a call I told him, at that time, that I had lost weight. “Where, he replied, you don’t have anything to lose!”
When C saw me last year I weighed about 112 or 113 pounds. I now weight 103 pounds. This is five pounds more than my college weight. I ate more food in my college days than I do now. My friends wondered where I was hiding it. He did tell me as he felt my biceps, “I still see you’ve retained your muscle.†Switching to an all raw diet made the weight drop off quickly. I had read many account of slim people losing weight initially when the moved to all raw foods so I wasn’t alarmed. I wasn’t trying to lose weight but the foods I’m eating now are lower in calories. I don’t live to eat I eat to live but I enjoy each meal I have. They are delicious.
