Inspirational Raw Food’s website

Posted on June 11th, 2006 in Personal, Raw Foods Diva by Vegan Momma

Since I made the transition to all raw foods I realized that I might receive searches from those trying to lose weight. I have not checked my tracking page yet.

I did not make the transition to raw foods because of health issues or to lose weight. I switched because I felt even better than I did with my whole foods Vegan lifestyle. I’m a member of Raw Food Talk. I go by another name there. It is one of Alissa Cohen’s website’s. I’m not a big fan of forums but, so far, I really like this one. I found this womans website while I was reading through the various forums. If you are trying to lose weight check out this women’s inspiring story. I Beat Obesity With Raw Living Foods You can read her journal here.

It’s Awesome to be Rawsome has also lost a lot of weight since she transitioned to raw foods.

fresh produce

Fresh produce from a local farm

I stopped by the local farm (organic) this morning and purchased the above produce. The tomatoes were huge! I bought 9 tomatoes, 4 zucchini, and six cucumbers for $14. I love color and enjoy seeing it in the meals I prepare! I’ll be happy when I have tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers growing in my garden. My daughter loves pasta and really likes “raw pasta”.

Do you remember when I blogged about placing a second order for the book Living on Live Foods book by Alissa Cohen and deciding to purchase the raw rood preparation DVD? I received them yesterday! That’s fast service! I awakened about an hour ago. I slept three hours so I’m going to finish watching the DVD.

Alfredo or Marinara?

Posted on June 11th, 2006 in Raw Foods Diva by Vegan Momma

I’m going to make fetuccini today. I’m trying to decided if I want an Alfredo sauce or a Marinara sauce. Hmm, big decision here. ;-)
I never liked the way pasta made me feel after eating it. It seemed to plummet to the bottom of my stomach like a dead weight. I was never impressed by it’s nutritional value so I rarely ate it. It wasn’t hard to elimiante that from my intake. Guess what my daughter, Aiyana, loves pasta and she really loves raw pasta. I did notice when I eliminated flour pasta from my intake my nasal passages became clearer (and I thought they were clear before.) How am I going to make raw fetuccini?
