I’m officially on vacation. I’ll be heading South in about two hours of course I’m taking a break from the internet. I’ll be on sometime next week. I’m really looking forward to enjoying my time with my daughter and catching up with family and friends.

I hope everyone has a safe and fabulous holiday!

I thought this was an interesting article I saw it on Geraldine’s blog.
A coworker and I were talking about the same thing early this morning.

Health care economics: Diseases are too profitable to prevent or cure

There’s something seriously wrong with our modern system of healthcare in the United States and in Western countries, but this article’s not what you might think — it’s not about the obvious things that are wrong. This is about something much larger. Let’s take a look from a large, top-down view. In fact, I’m going to challenge the assumption that we should have disease-oriented doctors at all. I made this dish this morning. It took about 20 minutes to make. It’s dual layer raw cheesecake. We are having a going away breakfast for a co-worker. The green leaves (lemon balm) were picked from my herb garden.

Rain

THE RAIN is raining all around
It falls on field and tree,
It rains on the umbrellas here,
And on the ships at sea.

I love poetry! This was one of my favorite poems as a child. I was awarded A Child’s Garden ofVerses for winning the annual spelling bee contest. You know I have been thinking of this poem for the past several days. Why? We have been receiving a lot of rain here in Maryland. I cannot complain my garden loves it. It’s so green!

Sweet Rolls

I made sweet rolls last evening. They were delicious but too rich for me. Aiyana loved them. I set several aside for her. I brought the remaining rolls into work today. They were a hit. One coworker told me that the filling tasted exactly like cream cheese. She called the dish a “Blueberry Cheesecake”. The sauce was made with Blueberries and strawberries. I’ll post pictures later this evening.
