Lord Shiva

The Circle of Eternity
Close your eyes and let the mind expand.
Let no fear of death or darkness arrest its course.
Allow the mind to merge with Mind.
Let it flow out upon the great curve of consciousness.
Let it soar on the wings of the great bird of duration,
Up to the very Circle of Eternity

My food cleanse is proceeding very well. My spirit is flying! I have noticed with each cleanse I travel deeper. I do not only focus on the physical aspects of cleansing I focus on the emotional aspects. They are both connected since they are coming from one source, I. My present time spent in personal reflection has been magnificent and my time spent in meditation has intensified daily. The hours I need for sleep are less. I’m awake by 3:30 each morning.

Planting…

Aiyana and I were outside early this morning planting roma beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans and wheat grass. A frog hopped out of the grass to see what all the commotion was about. I cannot believe it Aiyana is tired! I’m taking her upstairs for cuddle time. She will be asleep in about an hour.
It was nice being in the garden checking out the plants. I took plenty of pictures and will post them later this afternoon.

Aiyana was happy that mommy was not going to work today and so am I! :-)

Darfur Region Peace Plan in Jeopardy

ABUJA, Nigeria - Two of three rebel groups battling the Sudanese government for control of the country’s Darfur region resisted intense international pressure on Friday to sign an accord aimed at ending a conflict that has claimed at least 180,000 lives.

In New York, U.N. Secretary-General
Kofi Annan urged all countries to press the warring parties to reach agreement but warned the international community has an obligation to protect civilians in Darfur, by force if need be.

Abdelwahid Muhamed El Nur of the main rebel Sudan Liberation Army walked out of the negotiations before dawn Friday saying: “We are not going to sign.”

The action came shortly after a similar declaration from the small Justice and Equality Movement, while a splinter rebel faction said it needed time to consult with colleagues in Sudan. more

Edible Herbs

Milk Thistle

I ordered Milk Thistle, Dandelion, and Chickweed seeds yesterday afternoon. I should be receiving them next week. Aiyana and I pick the wild dandelion growing in the yard. I have decided to add more to our garden and I have dedicated a special place for my lovely dandelion weeds. Did you know that dandelion greens are fabulous in salads?

Milk Thistle

One of my favorite herbs is milk thistle. Did you know it has been used to treat the liver for over 2,000 years? An injectable form of milk thistle has also been used to treat mushroom poisoning. You can read more about milk thistle here
