What on my menu today

It’s a busy work week so my blogging might be sparse.

What did I pick from the garden this morning?
Kale, collards, lettuce, green onions, snap peas, and fennel. What did I do with it? I juiced it of course! ;-)

Today is another juice day. I brought three different types of juices to work today. Yes, they are my meals. I have included the ingredients below.

Happy Memorial Day!

C has been in Iraq gone since the beginning of this year. I’ve blogged about him a few times. This is the second time, in less than a year, he has been over there. He’s had a few close calls since he has been there but thankfully he’s okay. He’s a Naval officer. Well guess what? He will be returning to Maryland this July. It will be nice to see him again.

Cleansing update

It’s 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. I’m awake. My energy levels are high and I feel fabulous. I slept about three hours. My juice cleanse is going very well. Friday evening I did have a craving. I craved a huge bowl of greens, red onions, and tomatoes. I have noticed with each cleanse my cravings are healthier. I attribute that to the way I eat even when I’m not on a food cleanse. It’s refreshing to see how my food desires are transitioning during this cleanse. I’m craving more uncooked foods. I’m definitely not eating more raw foods to lose weight at 5′ 110 (at least the last time I weighed myself.) I’m physically and mentally fit and I’m enjoying life to its fullest.

I made this a few hours ago although it was delicious! My stomach did not agree with it. Hmm, I’m thinking I combined the wrong items with this smoothie? I had cramps after drinking it. I had bentonite clay on hand so I took one tablespoon of bentonite clay. The cramping was gone in less than five minutes.
