Occasionally I get questioned about the leftover pulp from juicing. What about the missing fiber is a common question I hear from some. I tell them I occasionally add about 1 ounce back to the juice, not often. I get plenty of fiber daily. I primarily use the pulp in soup stocks, gravies, condiments, veggie burgers, etc. In addition I use it as compost for the garden. My plants appreciate it! This past Saturday I made bean burgers. I added the juicing pulp to the burgers, talk about delicious!

Where do you get your protein?

I had great workouts this weekend. You know I really need to find some Vegan shirts that say, “Yes I’m Vegan and I’m obviously getting my protein!” Hmm, perhaps on the back I could have non-animal sources of protein like…

Kidney beans, lima beans, black beans, chickpeas, pinto beans, black-eyed peas, quinoa, soymilk, commercial, bagel, tofu, textured vegetable protein, spinach, bulgur, sunflower seeds, almond, broccoli, cashew, potatoes…

Of course there are more sources but I hopefully they would get the picture. I’m Vegan! My sources of protein are not limited! ;-)
