Thanks for making me feel special Mommy!

Thanks for making me feel special Mommy! Aiyana said as she walked out of the bathroom this morning. I had just finished congratulating her on doing such a fantabulous job brushing her teeth. She beamed with pride. It’s hard to believe she will be three years old in May. The time is flying by. Do you know she is already 3′6″. She’ll be my height (5′) before long.

This town needs an enema!

This was a line from Batman, The Joker said it.

Whenever I think of enemas this statement goes through my mind. :-)

The cleanse is going well. Yesterday I had a conference to attend with work. I had several bowel movements before I left for the event and a few at the event. This past Friday I added to P&B (Psylium & Bentonite) shakes to my routine.

Last evening, when I was home, I gave myself an enema. This is the first time I have done this. I was able to retain all the water. I lay on my side and massaged my abdomen and relaxed as I slowly let the water enter my colon. I retained the water for about 10 minutes before I excavated. It was mainly water but oh my did it smell bad, ughh! During my cleansing I will be doing these on a daily basis.

Sacred Woman: A Guide to Healing the Feminine Body

Occasionally I will read a book that has left such an impact on me that I will purchase another and give to someone I think will really benefit from the experience. This is the case with Sacred Woman. I received my first copy, from Amazon, last Saturday. I ordered a hard cover copy a few minutes ago.

Unexpected from the IRS

Posted on April 29th, 2006 in Personal by Vegan Momma

Guess what, I received a check in the mail from the State of Maryland yesterday. It seems I had overpaid my taxes by $157.76. I owed a little over 8k, bah. I wasn’t overjoyed but I did pay. :-) The IRS is one organization you don’t want to mess with. They always receive high priority, from me, during tax times.

What did I do with the overpayment? I hopped back in the car and deposited it in my local bank. The bank is about five minutes away.

I wish part of my money did not go to Social Insecurity (I mean Security) I can manage my money better than the GOVERNMENT anyday!

Busy Week

If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you know I recently made the transition to smaller non-profit agency. Counting myself the grand total of our staff is 11, full-time staff is a total of six. I really enjoy working here, even if I did take a huge dive in pay. The past few weeks have been busy preparing for a conference that will be held tomorrow. Since we are a small staff everyone wears many hats.

Work has been extremely busy. We have a big event today. It’s near Washington, D.C. which means I have a little hike. I have been preparing for several weeks. Of course I’m awake I’m an early riser. I thought I would have PLENTY of time to meditate, reflect, intensity picks. I will be leaving the house around 7:00. The event starts at 9:00, but I need to be there to set up. Well guess what? My little sidekick is up and ready to start the day, lol. Oh well the only thing I really need to do put the clothes on, hop into the car, and go.
