Aiyana and I were sitting in the bed yesterday afternoon (yes she actually took a nap) and I told my daughter I would be spending more time away from the house. I said, “Mommy will be working away from home starting next week.” Aiyana quietly listened as she prepared for her nap. I chatted with her for a few more minutes about what I would be doing and I mentioned again that I would be working outside of the home. Aiyana said, “It’s ok mommy” “It’s ok!” She leaned over and patted my cheek.
