What’s on today’s menu?
This past November when I was in South Carolina I bought ten pounds of pecans. They were freshly picked off the tree. I cracked two cups yesterday. Aiyana serenaded me through music (piano playing), dance, and song. Aiyana graciously offered her assistance as I cracked the pecans. Of course her help made the process longer. Once I was we were finished. I soaked the pecans for about six hours. Why? The texture of nuts change when they are soaked it makes them softer. I will be grinding them up and making ginger cookies.
