Sighs I thought I had trained my well meaning relatives/friends not to ask me this question anymore. They usually try to jusitfy their concern by telling me how wonderful I am. “I’m such a caring and loving (hmm why am I sensing a set-up in the near future?) person they want to see me happy. (I am happy!) We just don’t want to see you lonely is their reasoning. True I am single, and oh yeah I’m 35! As if I don’t know my age. I am far from lonely. I have a full life, a lovely daughter, wonderful business, fabulous family/friends. If the right person comes along who knows what will happen however that’s not my focus.
How is Foie Gras produced? Well this is done by force-feeding large amounts of food to ducks or geese. This causes their liver to enlarge up to 10 times their normal size. A pipe is shoved down the bird’s esophagus and food is forced into the stomach. The process is repeated two or three times daily for two to three weeks until the birds develop fatty liver disease. The birds are then slaughtered to produce Foie Gras. I have included a Foie Gras Video. It does contain graphic footage. I initially saw video on the No Foie Gras website.
