Warning, Racial Cliche Alert!
Mark La Roi has an interesting post on this topic. He talks about the Racial Cliche Alert It is something I have observed for years. One of my friend was a fan of the Real World in the early 90’s and I observed a pattern with that show also. The token black on the Real World show was usually loud, out of control, and had a hard time getting along with others. It made me wonder how in the world were they picking minorities for this show? It was almost like the producers. Of course I wrote MTV about the issue and I never received a reply.

I’m not sure if I will go see the movie. Perhaps I will wait until it is available on DVD. I have read the books. I rarely go to the theater to watch movies. I hate being disturbed by others talking and that, usually, is my main complaint the times I have seen a movie in the theater. In the past 10 years I might have seen a movies five times at the theater.
