I love my daughter!

As soon as Aiyana saw me she ran to me with a big hug and a kiss saying I miss you mommy! You know that made my day. I really love my daughter and she is always first in my thoughts upon awakening. She is the last person I think about at night before I go to sleep. When we are apart I think about her constantly. I cannot imagine life without her. I usually call twice during the day. I love hearing how she is doing. I normally talk to her on the phone. She did not take a nap during the day. She was outside playing the majority of the day since the temperature has cooled down considerably. My parents told me she was cranky but refused to sleep. I guess she was holding out until mommy arrived.

A slight change of plans

The director of Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary contacted me via email last evening and informed me that this Saturday there will private event going on. I will need to reschedule. She did tell me I can take a tour next Saturday.

I usually plan the activities when I go out. I am a natural born planner. I will research and come up with fairly interesting activities to do on the rare occasions I go out. It’s the reason why I do it you see. I want to make the most of the time I have. I emailed D this morning and asked him to surprise me and pick something he would like to do just make sure he includes The vegetable garden in our outing.

Is ignorance bliss?

Why cannot people see there is no difference? Hmm how can we open their eyes?

“What are you teaching kids about compassion for animals if you allow something like this to go on inside a classroom? Westman asked. “This is way, way out of bounds.”

It sounds like this person would appreciate if the animals were taken to an appropriate place to be killed. The animal flesh would be cleaned and neatly packaged. When this is done most people are far removed from the events that happened before the animal has made its final resting place on their plate. It is hard to imagine your steak, burger, etc. was once an animal.
