All creatures great and small…

One of the many reasons I enjoy visiting Harmonia’s Hut is the unique selection of creatures that often make an appearance in her posts. I find it fascinating reading about these beautiful creatures who have their moment in the spotlight courtesy of her blog, thank you! It’s nice seeing them peering out at you, or in some cases flying, ok gliding towards you ;-) from their new virtual home.

If you get a chance stop by her spot on the blogosphere say hello and be prepared to be dazzled by these truly gorgeous creatures!

Dialing H for hatred…

A few weeks ago I was making my blog rounds and stopped by Running2k’s blog. She has a post titled Homosexuals don’t sleep with children. I expressed my growing frustration with the, seemingly, acceptable hatred of homosexuals. I specifically talked about an annoying voice message that I had been receiving over the course of a few months. Well wouldn’t you know I received a call that very evening from the same organization? It was the same automated voice message. Once again I listened to the message with great disgust and was again saddened at the level of hatred expressed against gays by this mother. Apparently this ‘married mother of three children’ is extremely concerned about saving the sanctity of marriage. The way of ‘saving heterosexuals marriages’ is by stopping gays from getting married, eh?

Save Maryland Bears…

Since the hunting ban has been effect there has never been a report of a bear attacking humans here in Maryland. However people still want to go out and attack and kill them. Check out this site on Saving Maryland Bears…. In 2004 the ban was lifted. It only lasted one day. You see the quota for the amount allowed to be killed had been reached.

Online dating and Run Vegan Momma run…

June 2004 I met a fabulous guy through an online dating service. I believe I mentioned that I met my fiancée J, online as well. With my busy schedule it was the best solution out there. I did not have as much time to go out like I used to years before. This was the perfect solution for me. If I liked what the person had to say then I would go out with them. I met D that way. A wonderful guy however I met him too soon.

My best blogs are never written…

Posted on July 25th, 2005 in Personal by Vegan Momma

My best blogs are the ones I ‘write in my mind’ with the intentions of uploading them to my blog. The majority of the time the original idea gets lost when I find that I actually do have the time to blog. It is normally several hours later and by that time I am thinking of other issues or I am distracted making sure Aiyana does not get into anything while mommy is doing work online. I rarely am online when she is around since it takes away from time spent with her. When I am blogging I am always multitasking. I am responding to emails, finishing up volunteer work online, doing coursework, responding to my companis emails, etc. I do not seem to have the time to devote all my energy into a blog entry.
