Food that makes me say mmm!

Wow,

My first blog entry, ever! I have been a vegetarian for 12 years and became Vegan 6 months ago at the time I switched to Vegan I was between 70-80% raw. I have always liked raw vegetables and fruit. I noticed my energy level (already high) increased the more raw foods I
consumed.

I work out at the gym at least 5 days weekly, and my intensity remained the same throughout my workouts. Today will be a day spent making different foods to pop in my Excalibur dehydrator. This is a fantastic purchase especially for the raw foodists. I have always been the type to prepare the majority of my meals because I never liked processed foods or a lot of junk. I did not become raw to make my ideal weight or improve my health, although I do know a benefit of eating whole foods is an improvement in your health.

I stumbled onto Alissa Cohen’s website. I am going to purchase her raw foods book. The Living and Raw Foods Diet, She is in great shape and a bodybuilder. I will be competing this year in Amateur Figure competitions so it is always nice to receive inspiration from other Veggies/raw foodists. I have not seen too many Raw food bodybuilders. I have not seen any in competitions? Hopefully that will change as time progresses.

I made a fantastic avocado spread. I mashed 3 avocado’s, 2 garlic cloves, about 1/2 tsp freshly ground peppercorns. I sliced some tomatoes, onions, and used kale as a wrapper. I added about a tablespoon of sunflower seeds to my kale wrap. It was very good. I had two of them. My daughter, Aiyana (20 months old) loved the avocado spread and was eating it rapidly at lunchtime.
